1.The 107th Annual Indian Economic Association (IEA) Conference in Haryana

Event Summary
IEDS, Noida in collaboration with Maharishi Markandeshwar (deemed to be university) to organised this year’s 107th Annual IEA conference in Haryana in December, 2024. Through thorough discussions and deliberations, this year’s conference engaged deeply with critical economic issues of national significance. It dealt with various important issues like the roadmap for developed India (targets and challenges at multiple levels); technological development (skills, employment and entrepreneurship); welfare and quality of life (schemes, public infrastructure, and governance systems in India); Indian knowledge contribution in economics and the economy of Haryana.
2.One Day Workshop on Higher Education Curriculum

Event Summary
On 6th November, IEDS, Noida, organized a One-day Workshop on Higher Education Curriculum at the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi. The event brought together subject experts and academicians from all over the country. The workshop aimed to design a curriculum that is both realistic and futuristic, addressing the evolving needs of the education sector. Experts from various fields shared their valuable insights and recommendations on transforming the curriculum to meet the demands of the 21st century while aligning with the principles outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
3.Two-Week Capacity Building Program in Collaboration with Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth

Event Summary
IEDS, in collaboration with Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth, organized a 2-week capacity building program in November, 2024 for in-service faculty such as lecturers and Assistant Professors. The program aimed to equip in-service faculty with insights into recent advancements in the field of social sciences. It consisted of interactive sessions conducted by academicians from diverse fields, ensuring a better understanding of research design, data collection, and analysis techniques. The program aimed to introduce and familiarise the participants with the latest advancements in their respective fields, along with enhancing their general writing and methodology skills. It also included a cultural program featuring Kathakali and traditional music through which the participants were able to experience the region’s rich cultural traditions and history.
4.Ten Days Research Methodology Course for Research Scholars in Social Sciences

Event Summary
IEDS, in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Institute of Social Science Research, Ujjain (MPISSR) organised a Ten Days Research Methodology Course for Research Scholars in Social Sciences in July, 2024 sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi. The aim of the course was to enhance the methodological and writing skills of the M. Phil, PDF and PhD scholars and develop their potential as future academicians and social science researchers. It equipped the participants with the skills and tools for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research, helping them move beyond the research strategies of their own discipline. The curriculum was also meticulously created to cover a wide array of topics, ensuring a holistic approach to research education. The participants were able to engage in group discussions, case study analyses, and practical exercises, creating a collaborative learning environment.
5.Two-Day National Seminar on Bharatiya Vidya and Vikas: Unveiling Education and Development

IEDS, in collaboration with the Indian Institute for Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, organised a two-day National Seminar on ‘Bharatiya Vidya and Vikas: Unveiling Education and Development in India’ in May, 2024 at IIAS Shimla campus. The seminar aimed to explore the integration of ancient values and knowledge systems into contemporary teaching methods, fostering a Bharatiya consciousness in the higher education model of the country. The event was graced by the presence of many esteemed guests and distinguished academicians. All the speakers brought valuable insights to the discussion with their presentations. The discussions and deliberations that took place during the course of this seminar, seek to foster a paradigm shift in the narrative surrounding the population, emphasizing their potential as a valuable resource for the nation through the transformative power of education.
6.Two-Day National Workshop on “Developing Curricula and Textual Material for Economics.

Event Summary
IEDS in collaboration with Deccan Education Society Pune University (DESPU) organized a two-Day National Workshop on “Developing Curricula and Textual Material for Economics”.
In the National Workshop, distinguished academicians were invited to engage in a thorough discussion on multiple facets of Economics textbooks. The focus was on identifying necessary modifications required in the existing textual material for Economics. A particular emphasis was placed on exploring ways to seamlessly integrate the rich knowledge embedded in the Indian educational system into the economics texts used in higher education.
7.Roundtable discussion on National Seminar on National Curriculum Framework for School Education (May, 2023)
Dates: 17th and 18th May.
Venue: National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Building.
Event Summary
IEDS successfully conducted a Roundtable Discussion on National Curriculum Framework for School Education in May, 2023 in Collaboration with National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).
The seminar served as a platform for various speakers, including members of the steering committee, to elucidate the intricacies of the document. Additionally, approximately 30 principals from diverse schools in Delhi NCR actively participated in this roundtable discussion. This interactive session not only provided an opportunity for domain experts to expound upon the philosophy underpinning the document but also facilitated principals in sharing insights into implementation challenges and other issues. The result was a comprehensive and well-rounded discussion that enriched the overall exercise.

Event Summary
The Institute for Educational Development and Research (IEDS) successfully conducted a National Seminar on National Curriculum Framework for Foundation Stage in November, 2022 in Collaboration with Department of Education (CIE) University of Delhi. During this seminar, we delved into diverse themes outlined in the National Curriculum Framework for the Foundation Stage document. The discussion included the active participation of school principals, teachers, and students from Delhi. A comprehensive analysis of the document was presented to enhance understanding and foster engagement among educators, principals, and students. The steering committee, alongside esteemed experts, elucidated various facets of the document during the session.
